Honor the Mounds Gathering - Rockford, Illinois
This is a 1 day gathering at Beattie Park down town Rockford, on the corner of
N. Main and Park Ave. The park is along the Rock River, and in Beattie Park we
have conical, liner, and a Turtle effigy mound. This is an Educational event
with 1 to 2 drums, native dancers, demonstrators, living history,speakers, and
childrens area. There will be vendors on site.The Native American Awareness
Committee work hard all year long to beable to provide this Gathering to the
Public for free. We accept donation for the Honor the Mounds gathering, we apply
for Grants, we do presentation for schools, boy scouts, any one can call Mac at

WHEN & WHERE:
This Pow-Wow will be held in the oak grove of Shiloh Park in Zion, Illinois on
Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd & 24th, 2008 Rain or shine!!!
TIMES:
Gates will open to the public both days at 10 AM.
Saturday hours will be 10 AM - 10 PM.
Grand Entry of dancers will be at 1 PM and 7 PM with a dinner break from 5 - 7
PM.
Trader booths stay open during the break.
Sunday hours are 10 AM - 5 PM with Grand Entry at 1 PM .
A give-a-way is held at 12 PM .
ADMISSION:
Daily general Admission is $5... children 6 -12 years $1, Elders over 65 and
children under 6 are free.
An adult must accompany all children.
Hand stamp re-entry is included in admission price.
