Joe Keeper-Angela Chalmers Celebration Run
Come and join us for the 5th Joe Keeper-Angela Chalmers Celebration Run on Sept. 28th, 2008 at the Assiniboine Park Duck Pond. No other event in Manitoba honors the accomplishments of two of our Aboriginal former Olympians ( Joe Keeper from Norway House and Angela Chalmers from Birdtail Sioux), supports educational scholarships, promotes community physical activity, and celebrates aboriginal culture. It is an event that welcomes all to share in this unique Manitoba experience.

Family-oriented fun-filled event featuring:
. 10KM Road Race
. 3KM Fun Run/Walk
. 1KM Kids Run (10 & under)
. School Relay Challenge

Prize Money: 10K Race only:
. 1st Overall Male & Female: $250
. 2nd Overall male & Female: $150
. 3rd Overall Male & Female: $100

Many other awards to be won!

Entertainment: First Nation Drummers, Dancers and Singers, Community Feast, Silent Auction

. $35 School Relay Team
. $25 10KM Run
. $20 All students 17 years and under
. $3 Discounts to all Athletics MB members (10K Run only)
. $15 3KM Fun Run/Walk
. $5 1KM Kids Run
