Wolf Creek Cherokee Intertribal Powwow
To be held at the ROTARY Field in Stuart,Virginia just off of Hyw 58w in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia,28 miles from Martinsville,VA.
Friday: the 5th is Education Day for children.8:00 -2:30.
Saturday: Cherokee Intertribal Powwow
from 9am-7pm gate closes at 9pm.
Sunday: 9am -6pm.
Come bring your lawn chairs,be with us all day both days and meet dancers, and drumers from all over the country.
Meet the American Indians who live here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Come see,meet and greet the American Indians of Southwestern Virginia like Little Snake, Jeannie Cranford and her husband Michael Cranford who have danced all over the US. Buy beautiful jewelry, baskets,Ribbon Shirts and many other crafts from the gifted American Indians who made them.

6th Annual George Mason University Veteran\'s Powwow
Dewberry Hall, Johnson Center. George Mason University, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030. Doors open 12noon. 1st Grand Entry 1pm, 2nd Grand Entry 7pm. Event ends 10pm. MC: Clayton Old Elk; Arena Director: Lawrence Baker; Host Drums: White Oak (Northern) and Silver Cloud Singers (Southern); Head Dancers: Mary Phillips and Pete Neconie; Head Junior Dancers: Alexander Fire Walker and Laila Mahogany Amin; Color Guards: Vevita, Patriot Guard Riders, N.Va American Legion Riders and local VFW Post 8469. Flute Player Evan Craig will make a special appearance. Free Admission! No vendor booth fees! If you would like to be a vendor at our event, please contact Dakota Schreiner at dschrein@gmu.edu. There will be a Veterans Honor Ceremony at 5pm. If you are a veteran and plan to attend, please let us know so we can get a rough head count. We will be collecting items throughout November to benefit the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. There will be a box for donations at the powwow if you would like to contribute a new toy or school supply item.
