SugarHouse Casino is a proposed $550 million casino and entertainment project along the Delaware River waterfront.  Location is the site of the former Jack Frost Refinery, on the Delaware River waterfront, approximately 0.9 miles north of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on North Delaware Avenue, between Frankford and Shackamaxon Streets.

PHASES

SugarHouse Casino is planned as a phased development project.

Interim Casino (Opening 2009)

  • 1,500 slot machines
  • Food Court, one restaurant, and two bars/lounges
  • 220,000 square feet of enclosed casino area for gaming, food and beverages.
  • 2,600 parking spaces in 10-level garage (approx. 1 million square feet)

Phase I (Opening 2010)

  • Additional 1,500 slots. Total 3,000 slots.
  • Expanded dining options including 3 additional restaurants for a total of four restaurants, two lounges/bars, and a food court.
  • Additional parking: 450 valet spaces
    Phase 1 is 1.5 million square feet

Phase II (Opening TBD)

  • Space for 2,000 additional slot machines
  • 750-room hotel
  • Event center with 2,000 seats. 30,000 square feet
  • Expanded garage for 1,750 additional vehicles
  • Additional dining and retail outlets

Phase III (Opening TBD):

  • Additional 500-room hotel
  • Total facility 3.3 million square feet
