Cache Creek scraps expansion plans

October 8, 2009

BROOKS, CA - Cache Creek Casino Resort in Yolo County has cancelled plans to triple the size of its existing facitlities due to the the economic downturn.

The planned expansion would have added thousands of square feet for gambling, 450 new hotel rooms, a 62,500-square-foot event center and more dining and shopping areas.

Brent Andrew, a spokesman for the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, says Cache Creek will instead focus on the quality of its existing operations.
