PRESS RELEASE
April 23, 2013
The Red Hawk Casino Card Room awarded a Bad Beat Jackpot to nine lucky poker
players on Monday, April 22. The table shared a $50,483 payout. Located on the
non-smoking floor, the Card Room offers both poker and low limit blackjack
games.
A regular Red Hawk Card Room player from Brentwood, Calif., had quad nines and
thought he had a winning hand, but then a Rewards Club member from Placerville,
Calif., drew a queen high, straight flush and beat him. This qualified the table
for Red Hawk's Bad Beat jackpot of $50,483. The "losing" hand earned the player
from Brentwood the top payout of $25,241; the Rewards Club member from
Placerville received $12,621, while the seven remaining players at the table
each walked away with $1,803. A Red Hawk Casino Card Room Bad Beat Jackpot is
paid when a hand of aces full of kings or better is beaten. Both hole cards must
play with no more than two aces on the board, and at least five players have
been dealt into the hand. Additionally, a four of a kind must have a pocket
pair, and the hand must go to a showdown.
