WINDSOR, ON – The massive construction project to transform Casino Windsor into
Caesars Windsor continues towards its completion by June of this year.
The
new hotel was completed last summer to complement the existing Four-Diamond
hotel. A 30,000-square-foot bridge has been built to connect the two towers. The new tower and
bridge are
almost enclosed now and their interior work is scheduled to start next. The
bridge will house the hotel registration and a new restaurant. On the front
of the bridge will be
a 30 foot by 50 foot LED display advertising upcoming shows. The giant display
may be viewable from the Detroit bank of the river.
Across the top of the building will be the Caesars name and inside will be the
Caesars theme and decor. "It will be contemporary and elegant -- touches of
marble, rich gold tones and the contemporary look," says Teresa Roncon, senior
manager of public relations for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming. "It's going to be in
keeping and decorated in the style of Caesars."
