CRIPPLE CREEK, CO – Local voters have approved the expanded gaming allowed by Colorado’s constitutional Amendment 50, which state voters approved last November. The town’s people voted 267 to 13 to approve raising bet limits from $5 to $100, adding craps and roulette, and allowing casinos to operate 24 hours a day everyday.

The law becomes effective on July 2, 2009.

The remaining cities of Black Hawk and Central City will hold their city votes in January. Black Hawk has scheduled January 13, 2009 for their voting and Central City has scheduled January 20, 2009.
