MGM Grand at Foxwoods Opens May 2008

LEDYARD, CT – A bit of Las Vegas will come to the East Coast when the MGM Grand at Foxwoods opens in May. The $700 million project will be connected to Foxwoods Resort and Casino by a 100-yard bridge and feature its own hotel and casino.

The MGM Grand will feature a 50,000-square-foot casino with 1,450 machines and 54 gaming tables. It will be encircled by high-end retail shops, a VIP lounge, and upgraded amenities.

The new hotel will have 825 guest rooms with 320-threadcount sheets on the beds, flat-screen televisions, and Apple alarm clocks in every room. Also included are "world-class" restaurants, a 21,000-square-foot spa, and a 4,000-seat theater.

The project also include $55 million in renovations to the Foxwoods Resort and Casino.
