March 12, 2008
COCONUT CREEK, FL - In a grand celebration with confetti, showgirls and champagne, this Seminole Casino unveiled its new Las Vegas-style slot machines. This results from an agreement last November between the Seminoles and Gov. Charlie Crist to add new games at the seven Florida Indian casinos. The agreement will pay the state at least $100 million in annual revenues, but it is being challenged in the Florida Supreme Court. - Las Vegas-style slot machines will debut at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa early this summer. - Card games such as blackjack, pai gow, and baccarat will debut by early fall.
