Isle Casino sues government over Seminole contractJune 4, 2008TALLAHASSEE - Yesterday the The Isle Casino & Racing in Pompano Beach filed suit against the U.S Department of interior and Governor Charlie Crist for allowing blackjack and other card games in the Seminole casinos. In the court filing the Isle Casino claims the gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe violates the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The federal act allows tribal casinos to operate games already authorized by state law. The suit claims these are new games not previously allowed in Florida. The suit further claims the Isle Casino would suffer irreparable injury if the new card games are allowed. Return to Florida Casinos. |
