Damaged CasinOmaha will reopen as Blackbird Bend Casino
September 27, 2012
CasinOmaha may reopen by the end of this year. In 2011 the casino was closed due
to the extensive flooding that occurred.
The casino is owned by Nebraska’s Omaha Tribe. The tribe reported that the
casino will under go a remodel and will be taking on a new name by the time it
reopens. The casino has been renamed Blackbird Bend Casino.
The casino is located near Onawa. Starting next week, the construction will
begin. If the construction is about to stay on schedule, the casino could be
completed by December.
