Recognition for Native American Tribes approved by House Committee
February 17, 2011

state senate for approval.
The Native Americans of Kentucky believe that state recognition would improve
their lives. Currently there are eight states that do not recognize Native
American Tribes within their states.
Opponents to the bill state that the recognition will lead to casinos.
