Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel to Undergo $20M Renovation

The Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel is about to undergo a $20 million renovation and
expansion project. The casino is owned by the Chitimacha Indian Tribe. It is
located in the town of Charenton in St. Mary Parish.
The casino will have more gaming to offer guests. There will also be shopping
and a new restaurant added.
The Cafe Bayou will be replaced by the new Cafe Delphines. Another new dining
option will offer sandwiches, hamburgers, and salads at Mable's.
A retail gift shop named Bizzute's will also open.
The expansion to the gaming floor will add an area for high limit gambling.
The Cypress Bayou is the oldest Native American casino in the state.
