The Massachusetts Gaming Commission have voted against allowing voters to have a vote on the proposed Everett and Revere casinos. Boston Mayor Martin Walsh stated that he was greatly disappointed in the decision.

Wynn Resorts are proposing a casino in Everett. Mohegan Sun is proposing a casino project in Revere.

The mayor stated that he believes that the people living in the nearby areas should be able to vote on the casinos that may effect their communities.

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission delivered their ruling on Thursday. The hearing took over four hours.

The mayor also stated that he planned to meet to discuss options with his legal team on Friday.
