Arguments for a possible Martha's Vineyard casino will be heard by a federal judge this month.

The Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) are interested in developing a casino on their tribal there.

On Friday, the U.S. District Court has scheduled a hearing by Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV. His ruling may result in a dismissal of the case.

Residents of the town of Aquinnah, the Community Association of Aquinnah/Gay Head, and representatives from the state are expected to attend. As well as tribal lawyers. All groups will be allowed to make statements for their arguments.

The tribe is claiming sovereign immunity to the land where they wish to build their casino.
