Muskegon Makes Agreement with Lac Vieux Desert BandMUSKEGON, MI - Muskegon city commissioners approved an agreement Tuesday with the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewas related to the tribe's proposal to build a casino in Muskegon. The terms are non-binding and non-exclusionary, so a similar agreement is expected with the Little River Band, who proposed a casino in downtown Muskegon. This agreement would be effective if the Lac Vieux Desert Band are successful with building their casino. The terms include the following.
If built, the casino would generate up to $4.5 million a year in new revenues to the city. Return to Michigan Casinos. |
