FireKeepers Casino to hire 1,500 employees

MARSHALL – The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi will begin accepting online job applications January 22nd for its new FireKeepers Casino, which is now under construction on the south side of Interstate I-94 and 11-Mile Road at Exit 104. Applications for about 1,500 full- and part-time jobs will be available at www.firekeeperscasino.com

Jobs include dealers, maintenance workers, slot machine attendants, security personnel, housekeeping workers, cashiers, information technology personnel, accounting staffers, kitchen staff, marketing staffers, bartenders, player representatives, cocktail servers, valet attendants and waiters/waitresses.

A press release from Peggy Houston, HR director for the casino, said "We are looking for associates who are enthusiastic and outgoing with a focus on providing the highest level of guest services.”

The FireKeepers Casino is scheduled to open this summer. The $270 million complex will be 230,000 square feet with 2,500 slot machines, 110 table games, 5 food and beverage outlets, and a 2,000-space parking structure.
