RED WING, MN - Treasure Island Resort & Casino cut the ribbons today for its new
Island Event and Convention Center, 230 more hotel rooms, and Island Xtreme
Bowl.
ISLAND EVENT AND CONVENTION CENTER
This new addition features 30,000 square-foot of event and meeting space
including a 3,000-seat showroom, which is triple the size of the former
showroom. All showroom seats are within 125 feet from the stage which hosts two
14 by 24-foot retractable video screens.
"This addition allows us to contend with entertainment venues throughout the
state by offering our guests premier entertainment coupled with the service our
guests have come to expect," said Allan Kronberg, Treasure Island Resort &
Casino general manager.
The debut performer will be Tim McGraw, who will appear Saturday, August 30th.
HOTEL ADDITION
The two new hotel towers each feature six floors totaling 230 new hotel rooms.
This brings Treasure Island's total room count to 480. There are also 24 new
suites, including governor and presidential suites.
ISLAND XTREME BOWL
Treasure Island is Minnesota’s first casino to offer a bowling alley. This
30,000 square foot addition includes a 24-lane Brunswick bowling alley, arcade,
lounge, snack bar and separate party rooms.
