March 3, 2008 TUNICA, MS - Grand Casino Tunica has hired Hale Irwin Golf Design to upgrade its Links at Cottonwoods and return the course to its original design. The course was designed ten years go by Hale Irwin Golf Design and was voted a Top-40 Casino Course in the U.S. by Golf Digest Magazine. Matt McNeil, Links at Cottonwoods director of golf, said the finished course will see 90 percent of the trees removed and replaced with 60 acres of native grass to "provide players with a true links golf experience". Champion Bermuda turfgrass will be laid in June to replace the current Bentgrass. Return to Mississippi Casinos. |
