Ameristar Casino Vicksburg opens to public

VICKSBURG, MS - The largest casino in Vicksburg unveiled the first phase of its $100-million expansion this past weekend. The Ameristar Casino, which originally opened in 1994, began this project in 2005. It is one of largest construction projects in Vicksburg's history.

"This project is not just about adding more machines and tables, it's really about adding amenities and enhancing the gaming experience for our customers," said Adrian Caldwell, the casino’s GM.

"We want to help transform Vicksburg from a day trip market into a destination city," said Bess Averett, public relations manager. "This is huge for Vicksburg tourism. We're providing more experiences that are important to our guests."
