New Tunica casino site proposedMay 29, 2008TUNICA, MS - A legal notice published in The Tunica Times this week announces the intent of an Arizona company to develop 220 acres for a new casino in northwest Tunica County. The company OMF, LLC of Scottsdale, Arizona placed the notice to run for one week. It begins “We the members of OMF, LLC, intend to make application for site approval and a gaming license for an establishment, vessel or cruise vessel to be located near Robinsonville.... .” In an interview Tuesday, Mills Morgan, the project manager, said the site lies off Perry Road near Indian Mound Road, which is south of the Hollywood Casino and north of property proposed for development by Myriad Botanic. The plan is to build three casinos totally 150,000 square feet, a hotel with 500 rooms, and a convention center with 150,000 square feet. Return to Mississippi Casinos. |
