March Brought Higher Revenues by Mississippi Casinos

A report was released by the Mississippi Department of Revenue stating that the
casino earnings were higher in March than in the previous year.
The state saw an increase of 4 percent in casino gaming revenues. There was also
an increase of 5 percent seen at the coastal casinos.
The revenue report also showed a new trend for the coast casinos. The 11 coast
casinos increased their revenue for two consecutive months.
Casinos on the rivers also saw an increase in earnings compared to the same time
last year. In March of 2012 the river casinos earned $118.8 million. In March of
2011, the same casino area earned $115.2 million.
