Mississippi Casinos Report Decline for November

November saw a decline in Mississippi casino revenues.

$156 million was the reported amount last month for the casinos across the state. However, a year ago the casino reported $164 million. That is a 5 percent decline.

The report was released by the State Department of Revenue.

There are 17 casinos located on the river. Those casinos report a 10 percent decline from the previous year. Reporting earnings at $73.1 million. There

Of the 12 coastal casinos, they reported a 1 percent decline from a year ago. Earnings were $82.8 million.

The trend has been ongoing for casinos earning less in the current year opposed to the previous year for 25 out of the last 29 months.

However, revenue at the coastal casinos have been slightly going up. The reported October revenue for the state was higher due to the coastal success.

Native American casinos are not required to report to the state. Numbers for the Choctaw Indian casinos were not included in the report.
