May 28, 2008 ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Business Journal reported that “Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. opened a pedestrian tunnel Tuesday that easily links its $507 million Lumière Place casino and hotel development to downtown St. Louis. “The 400-foot tunnel, called Lumière Link by the gaming company, represents an $8 million investment by Pinnacle with no public subsidy, the company said in a release. “The new tunnel runs from a vestibule in Baer Plaza across from the Edward Jones Dome on the west, under Interstate 70 and Third Street, to Lumière Place on the east end. “The tunnel is staffed 24 hours daily by Lumière Place personnel, the gaming company said in its release.
