$300M casino proposed in north St. Louis CountyJuly 7, 2008ST LOUIS, MO - Development plans have been submitted to St. Louis County for a $300 million casino in unincorporated Spanish Lake. The plans include a hotel with pool and spa, a theater, a small convention center and a golf course. The site is 376 acres between Riverview Boulevard and the Mississippi River just north of the Interstate 270 bridge. The plans and a zoning petition were submitted June 25th. A public hearing on the petition may be held as early as August although it may be delayed due to the freeze on new casinos issued by the Missouri Gaming Commission in June. The commission will not approve new licenses until the November election when voters will decide whether to impose or remove the freeze. Return to Missouri Casinos. |
