MO Casino Workers Earned Over $328 Million in 2013

Last year, over $328 million was earned by Missouri casino workers. The state Licensed casinos employ 10,016 people. The total money earned came not only from worker wages, but also tips and benefits.

The results were announced today by the American Gaming Association.

There are currently 13 state licensed casinos. Four of the casinos are located in metro St. Louis. Missouri is the seventh highest employer of casino workers nationwide.

Gaming revenues earned from the casinos go to education programs. As well as programs to aid veterans and public safety. In 2013 $452 million in tax revenue was collected from Missouri casinos.
