September 4, 2008 RATON, NM - A $50 million racetrack and casino project at Raton has been approved by the New Mexico Racing Commission. The commission selected the proposal submitted by Horse Racing at Raton over two other applicants, Coronado Park Partners in Tucumcari and Pueblo of Pojoaque Development in Santa Fe. Construction will begin as soon as permits are approved. The casino will be finished next year and the racetrack in 2010. RACETRACK CASINO Return to New Mexico Casinos. |
