Construction on Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel is making
progress. It is expected that the project will be completed on time as well as
The land around the property is currently being shaped into place. The grading
is nearly completed. After the grading is done, more detailed land development
will take place. Including foundation work.
Recently at the Tri County Community College in Murphy, an information meeting
was held for people interested in being hired by the casino. 500 people attended
the event. The casino hotel plans to hire 800 to 900 employees.
The project has also created 500 new construction related jobs.
Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel is scheduled to open in 2015.
