Ground was broken for a new Bowling Entertainment Center at Harrah’s
Cherokee Casino Resort.
The bowling center will cost $13 million to complete. The budget was approved at a Tribal Council meeting that was held on February 3. Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise will cover half of the cost. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians will cover the other half. No debt will be incurred for the project.
The resolution to build a theater and a bowling alley was passed by the Tribal Council in 2001. At that time the theater was built however there was not enough funds to also build the bowling alley.
Plans for the new center include two floors. 16 bowling lanes will be located on the first floor. There will also be an arcade area and a location for food and beverages. 8 bowling lanes will be located on the second floor, along with a bar. It is possible that there could be a second food area as well on the second floor.
The Bowling Entertainment Center at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort will be open to all ages.
