November 24, 2007 Mega-Casino Proposed for Clinton County COLUMBUS - Attorney General Marc Dann has received a new petition for the November 2008 ballot that would approve a 300,000-square-foot casino resort in Clinton County. Before it can make the ballot, the attorney general must find the petition has proper wording and has 1,000 out of 2,440 valid signatures. If accepted, the petitioners will be authorized to seek 402,000 valid signatures which are necessary to qualify for the November 2008 ballot. The proposed casino would be located in Clinton County and in close proximity to Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton. It would include a hotel, a race car speedway, a golf course, and a convention center. Thirty percent of profits would be paid to the state to divide among all counties proportional to population.
