Pittsburgh mayor Luke Ravenstahl is not happy about a delay and changes to the design of the casino.

the latest now on the new north shore casino. pittsburgh mayor luke ravenstahl is not happy about a delay and changes to the design of the casino. he wrote a letter to the state gaming commission today commenting on the changes don barden is now making. to save money, barden asked the pittsburgh planning commission yesterday for permission to hold off on building his riverfront amphitheater. he also says he wants to delay building this dock area as well as a walking path until after the casino has been open for three years. in ravenstahl's letter he wrote, quote, i am not willing to compromise in development in a way that negley impacts the riverfront and the city. it's my responsibility to ensure that the city of pittsburgh and the citizens receive what was originally promised to us. and a spokesperson for barden said there are good reasons for the adjustments in construction and all the work will eventually be done.
