Sands adds 250 slot machines, two restaurants and a bar

BETHLEHEM, PA – This week the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem opened 40,000 new
square feet to host 250 additional slot machines, two restaurants and the
Infusion Lounge. There is also enough gaming floor to fit 80 to 100 table games,
including poker, roulette and craps, if approved by Pennsylvania legislators.
This Sands expansion comes six months after its grand opening May 22nd and
follows financial delays caused by the recession. A ceremonial grand opening is
scheduled for December 1st.
The new restaurants include Emeril Lagasse's Burgers and More eatery. It is
Emeril's first-ever burger restaurant, featuring gourmet burgers, hand-cut
fries, onion rings, salads, shakes and malts. A build-your-own burger costs
The second restaurant is the Carnegie Deli, the third location of owner Sandy
Levine. It features massive pastrami, corned beef and brisket sandwiches stuffed
with at least a pound of meat. The 150-seat deli is decorated with a collection
of autographed photos including Dan Marino, Sylvester Stallone, Joe Frazier,
Mike Ditka and George Lucas.
The Infusion Lounge specializes in ''infused'' fruit and alcohol drinks with
names like High Voltage, Monkey Wrench, Nuclear Reaction and Sledge Hammer.
