PA Earns $108.3 Million from December Casino Revenue

Pennsylvania’s casinos had a successful month in December. The state was able to
earn over $108.3 million from gaming taxes. Gaming revenues had risen to 14%.
Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack saw revenue reach 3.55%. SugarHouse Casino
had 63.14%. An increase of 11.5% was made from slot machines at Parx. Slots also
helped the Bensalem casino earn $32 million. Last year the casino had earned
Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board believes the earnings were due to marketing
the variety of table games, casinos amenities, and good weather were all reasons
for a successful month.
