Pennsylvania Beats Atlantic City as Second Largest Casino Market

An announcement from the Pennsylvania gaming control board stated that over
$233.1 million was earned in March from slot machines. The news was reported on
Tuesday. According to the commission, this was the highest revenue income
earning ever for the state. This broke the original record of $218.3 million.
That record occurred in July of 2011.
This also made Pennsylvania the second largest gaming market in the country. The
first being Las Vegas. Previously that title was held by Atlantic City.
Pennsylvania also out preformed New Jersey during January and February of this
year. The state was able to earn a combined gaming revenue of $515.7 million.
New Jersey earned $479.6 million.
