OMAK, WA - The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation held a ground breaking ceremony Monday to begin construction of their new Omak Casino. It is scheduled to open next summer. The $24 million project is located on the southern edge of Omak just off Highway 97.

To begin the ceremony tribal elder Andy Joseph Sr. offered a prayer for the land and then chanted "for the sake of our creator, our maker, the animals, the salmon, everything we have on this good earth of ours."
