A ruling made by a judge is being asked to be reconsidered by Florida state. Previously the judge had ruled to allow the continuation of table games at the Seminole Tribe of Florida's casinos.

The post-trial motion was filed on Wednesday. State attorneys want to know why the tribe was ruled in favor of by U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle.

The ruling was made in November. The filing of the new motion was submitted before the deadline by two days.

Under the former compact between the tribe and state, the Seminole Tribe of Florida was given exclusive rights to the operation to certain games.

Horse and dog racing tracks were given permission under Gov. Rick Scott to offer card games that were similar to the ones that the Seminoles had rights to operate.

The judge ruled in favor of the tribe and ruled that they could have rights to the games for an additional 14 years.

However, attorneys for the state of Florida are asking that the blackjack game tables be removed from the tribe's casinos.
