The Shoshone Bannock tribe broke ground last month on the new $35 million Fort Hall casino. The project is expected to be completed by March 2018.

When completed the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center will be connected to the new casino, bingo hall, storage area, and corridor. The casino will be one story tall and 72,984 square feet. The bingo hall will be 8,084 square feet.

The space used as the previous casino will be transformed to storage and office space.

Construction is estimated to take 16 months to complete. 90 jobs have been created by the project.
