A new brewpub is in the works for FireKeepers Casino Hotel. The new venue will be called Dacey's Taphouse and will occupy a section of current restaurant space.
The renovation of Dacey's Sports Bar to the new brewpub will cost millions to complete. Work is expected to start in August and be finished by the end of the year. It will be open to guests aged 21 years and older.
Plans for the new taphouse include a restaurant and bar area with 140 seats. Guests will be able to over look the gaming floor at the 50 seat mezzanine. Sporting events will be viewed on 50 screens. The interior design will reflect a rustic theme.
There will also be a craft brew barrel that will be two-stories tall. 50 types of beer will be available. They will include national brands as well as local brews from Michigan.
The casino hotel is owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi.
