A “Class III” gaming license has been approved by village officials for the
Odawa Casino in Mackinaw City.
This means that casino will be able to operate slot machines.
The vote was held on December 7th at a meeting for the village council. It was
approved by a vote of 5 to 1.
Odawa Casino Mackinaw City previously offered Class II gaming machines. These
machines are similar to Vegas style slot machines, however they are limited in
the types of games offered and the amount that a player can win.
The new gaming license will allow the casino to offer additional games.
100 new machines will be added in a few months.
The casino is also planning a new bar and grill for summer of 2018.
Return to Michigan Casinos.
