Rotate Black's Harbor Town Casino project is a step closer to being a reality. The state's gaming commission met on Thursday and discussed the proposed casino.

The gaming commission stated that the project has good ideas. However more work will need to be done to the plans before they can approve them. The commission is focused on the tourism aspect of gaming in the gulf coast and is trying to expand on that. The commission is hopeful to find a proposed casino project can offer more than gambling.

If built, Rotate Black's Harbor Town Casino would be located near the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor and Jones Park. In addition to the casino, plans also call for three restaurants, and a hotel with 100 guest rooms.

The gaming commission is not ready to approve the proposed casino as of yet. However, they are hopeful that it could be developed in the future.
