The Terrible's St. Jo Frontier Casino will be changing it's name back to the original. Previously owned by the Hebst family, the casino has been taken over by three banking groups.

The local riverboat casino opened in the 1990's under the name, St. Jo Frontier Casino. The Herbst family bought the casino from the original owners and renamed it. However, the parent company has faced bankruptcy. Due to this, the banking groups took over the gaming facility and renamed the casino back to its original name. The banks now own 15 of the Herbt's casinos and have taken over much of the debt.

The Herbst family still has the right to the name "Terrible's". As well as the cowboy logo that is used on advertising.

The general manager for the Frontier Casino has stated that is was an unnoticeable change. However, when the neon signage in the front is updated with the new name, then it will be more noticeable.

It is unclear how long the banks will own the casino for.

Currently, the St. Jo Frontier Casino employs 270 people.
