Support is growing to build casinos in Nebraska to keep potential tax money from
being spent at casinos over the state line.
Signatures are being gathered to put a measure on the ballot this November that
would allow for casinos to be built. If the measure is put on the ballot, Iowa
casinos could be effected.
The group, Keep the Money in Nebraska is in support of the proposed bill. Tax
revenue from the casinos would be paid to the state and cold be used for funding
education programs or giving property tax relief.
Opposing groups to the bill believe that casinos would benefit more than the
