A new casino pilot program was approved early in the year by New Jersey casino
regulators. So far one firm has submitted plans to build a smaller boutique
style Atlantic City casino.
The application, by AC Gateway LLC, was filed Friday with the Casino Control
Commission. The company has plans for a casino hotel project with 200 guest
rooms. Plans also include future expansion to 500 guest rooms.
The program was approved in hopes of revitalizing the Atlantic City Casino
