An expansion of the convention and meeting space at the Resorts Casino Hotel is
being planned. The proposed project will cost $9.4 million.
When completed, the meeting space will have an additional 12,000 square feet.
This year one third of the Atlantic City casinos have closed. The casinos that
remain are trying to find a way to find new ways to attract customers and
establish more market share.
The city is trying to find ways to make more revenue away from gambling.
Increasing tourism and developing more space for business meetings and
conventions are some of the ways the city is trying to attract more visitors.
The beginning half of next year is the expected start time for the new
expansion. It is estimated to be completed by the summer.
