As long as Atlantic City's Trump Taj Mahal is in operation, so will be the Hard Rock Cafe that is inside.

The New Jersey Labor Department was given notice of potential closing for April 22. The filing was submitted on Wednesday. 73 people are employed by the restaurant.

However, the current lease is set to expire in 2016. The Hard Rock's parent company intends to keep operations open until that time.

Representatives from the Hard Rock chain state that the filing with the department was done as a precaution. The casino filed for bankruptcy. The filing was submitted in case the casino is forced to close.

Carl Icahn is an investor that has shown interest in purchasing the Taj Mahal.
