State gaming officials for New Jersey are being criticized by Glenn Straub over the delays he has been fighting for trying to open his casino. Straub is the owner of the former Revel Casino.

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has been slow is issuing an operation permit to Straub. The delays may force him to shut down his casino.

June 15 was the scheduled reopening date. $1 million in revenue is lost every month the casino stays closed.

The new reopening date has been scheduled for October 1.

Part of the delay in approving the permit is based around the planned rope course at the casino. Safety for guests needs to be investigated.

The permits will need to be received by the end of September for Straub to consider opening the casino
