Plans for a new casino to be developed in the Catskills have been presented to
the public. This will be one of the four newly approved casinos for the state.
Sullivan County's Liberty High School was the site of the presentation.
The project will be built on 1,200 acres near the previous site of the
Grossinger's resort. Included in addition to the casino is a hotel with 400
guest rooms. A golf course with 27 holes. As well as a sports complex. Even town
homes will be built. It is estimated to cost $400 million to complete.
Albany-Saratoga and the Southern Tier are also potential locations for new
casinos.
