February proved to be a profitable month for Ohio casinos. A report was recently
released that showed higher revenue last month than in the two previous months.
The total revenue reported for the casinos in February was $66.8 million. The
report was released by the Ohio Casino Control Commission. In January the report
total was $59.7 million.
During the campaign to obtain approval for the casinos, it was estimated that
the casinos would earn $1.9 billion for the state yearly. However the reported
earnings have not been adding up to that total as of yet. It is estimated that
the state's four casinos will earn $900 million this year.
