The Jamestown S'Klallam tribe will postpone building their 150 room, $50 million dollar 7 Cedars Casino till mid decade.

At the latest Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce meeting, Jerry Allen, chief executive offer of the Blyn casino sighted the lagging economy and reluctant banks for the delay.

At the same meeting the Elwha River Casino's General Manager Steve Durkin announced the Lower Elwha Klallam tribe will also postpone their plans to build a larger casino along U.S. Highway 101. Durkin explained that the tribe will likely expand in the next three to four years.

Both Allen and Durkin are optimistic there projects will proceed just not in the present economy.
